๐๏ธ Due Date for many salaried taxpayers: ๐ 31st July 2026 โ Can you file now? โ Yes.
โ Then why do many tax professionals advise waiting? ๐ Because Employer TDS Return due date is: ๐ 31st May 2026
Until TDS returns are filed and processed: โข TDS credit may not reflect properly in Form 26AS โข AIS/TIS data may remain incomplete โข Salary, interest, or other income may mismatch
๐ After this: โ Form 16 gets issued โ TDS data gets updated โ AIS/26AS becomes more reliable
โ ๏ธ Filing too early may result in: โข Missing TDS creditโข Refund delay โข Revised return filing later
โ Therefore, in many normal salaried cases, waiting till June or early July is professionally advisable.
