🗓️ Due Date for many salaried taxpayers: 👉 31st July 2026 ❓ Can you file now? ✅ Yes.
❓ Then why do many tax professionals advise waiting? 📌 Because Employer TDS Return due date is: 👉 31st May 2026
Until TDS returns are filed and processed: • TDS credit may not reflect properly in Form 26AS • AIS/TIS data may remain incomplete • Salary, interest, or other income may mismatch
📌 After this: ✔ Form 16 gets issued ✔ TDS data gets updated ✔ AIS/26AS becomes more reliable
⚠️ Filing too early may result in: • Missing TDS credit• Refund delay • Revised return filing later
✅ Therefore, in many normal salaried cases, waiting till June or early July is professionally advisable.
